The Dear Children campaign, led by Mana Mokopuna – Children’s Commissioner Dr Claire Achmad, is shining a light on the scale of child harm in Aotearoa and calling on all of us to be champions for children.
Our members and supporters show up every day to support the wellbeing of rangatahi across Aotearoa. We believe all young people deserve to grow up safe, supported and thriving. Meaningful change happens when we come together alongside young people, their whānau and families to uphold children’s rights and wellbeing.
Through our work on the School-Based Health Services Enhancement Programme and our coordination of Māngai Whakatipu, the youth health advisory group, we’ve had the privilege of working with Claire. Mana Mokopuna and Te Kāhui Korowai Rangatahi share a strong, shared vision: to see all children and young people in Aotearoa thriving.
Our Co-Chair Dr Jess Allen and General Manager Deb Struthers attended the launch of the Dear Children campaign at the end of 2025 (pictured above).
Signing the Dear Children letter sends a clear and powerful message to rangatahi: we care.
There’s still time to add your voice. Visit www.dearchildren.co.nz to sign the letter and explore the practical advice and resources supporting a safer future for all tamariki.
