We’re thrilled to welcome Lara Wall and John Lee as board members of Te Kāhui Korowai Rangatahi - Youth Health Aotearoa.
Lara is a Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Waikato and a PhD candidate exploring the vital role of school nurses in improving health and education outcomes for rangatahi.
With a strong background in kaupapa Māori health,post-anaesthetic care, and tertiary nursing education, Lara brings valuable clinical and academic insights to our mahi. Her research passions include adolescent health, sexual health, health education and health equity.
All of which are grounded in her commitment to meaningful, culturally responsive change.
Outside of work, Lara is a proud māmā of two tama, who keep her inspired every day.
John is the Commercial Lead in Treasury’s Balance Sheets and Transactions team. A Chartered Accountant and former Corporate Finance Manager at Deloitte, he brings a strong background in public sector investment and commercial contracting, with a focus on delivering system-level change through evidence-based advice.
John loves travelling and is on a mission to visit 40 countries before turning 40.
